Ten years, no edits
I am twenty-two and I think I know what I want. I am writing this so that you can laugh at me, or so that you can be surprised that I was right. Either is fine. Just do not pretend you never wanted it.
The wallet I said I would not touch
There is 0.4 ETH in the second wallet. I promised not to look at it for a year. If it is still there, buy the good coffee machine. If it is not, you know what you did.
The flat on Ringvägen
You are reading this three years after we signed the lease. I want to know if the radiator in the kitchen still knocks at night, and whether you ever fixed the shelf. Mostly I want to know if you stayed. I hope you stayed, but I will understand if you did not.
Graduation, I hope
If this opens and you did not finish, that is also a story, and probably a better one. If you did, go find Ade and tell him he was wrong about the thesis.
One year of running
Today was day one. 2.4 km, walked most of it. If you kept going, good. If you stopped, the shoes are in the hallway closet behind the vacuum. Either way, go outside after you read this.
Written the night before the interview
I do not know yet whether I got the job. By the time this opens, it will not matter which way it went. What I want you to remember is how badly you wanted something, and that wanting it was not embarrassing.
After the surgery
You will read this when the cast is off. I am scared tonight and I do not want to say it to anyone, so I am saying it here. Whatever the hand can do now, it is enough.
For when the baby is two
She is eleven days old and asleep on my chest while I type this with one thumb. I am tired in a way I did not know existed. Tell me she sleeps now. Tell me we both do.
